Marta Rak

Marta Rak was born in Croatia where she finished elementary ballet school and worked on several productions of the National Theater in her hometown Rijeka.

After earning her bachelor degree in Cultural studies, she pursues her dance education in Munich at Iwanson academy for contemporary dance where she gained extensive experience working with international choreographers.

She contiunes collaboration with Johannes Härtl trough number of projects (Short Stories, Pendulum, Other World, Superheroes, Bloodline, Needed, French Kitchen, Silent Water) as a freelance dancer.

In 2016 she creates a short piece for dance company of the National theater in Rijeka.
In 2017 she dances in Swan Lake by Staša Zurovac.
As a guest performer she colaborates with dance colective for persons with cerebral palsy and performs at Inclusive scene festival in Rijeka, Croatia. 

Since September 2017 she is teaching contemporary dance and directing rehearsals in academy program at Iwanson International School for contemporary dance in Munich, where she is based as a freelancer.

In 2019 she enrolled a master program in dance pedagogy at Palucca University in Dresden.
